Happy Fall and Happy Full Moon in Aries! The message that has been coming in for me this week is to remember who I am. My mom used to always say that to me when I was leaving the house, “Remember who you are.” I pulled this Page of Pentacles and the joy and simplicity really struck me. Focusing inward right now and tending to what feels good. Be gentle with yourself and keeping things simple to remove stress. Trust what your body is telling you.

Kundalini
I was introduced to Jacki Brown by a friend in 2020 and was so happy to be able to practice with her online during the pandemic. If you’ve never done Kundalini yoga it’s a much different practice that really gets the energy moving and there’s a wonderful meditation portion. Jacki is starting a new 31 day challenge with the meditation “Happy am I, Healthy am I, Holy am I.” I just joined, let me know if you do too or you can find some of her videos to try out first. It’s a practice that has really helped me and I wanted to share.
BARK
I lost my sense of smell in May and it still isn’t fully back. In meditation I asked for something that would help my sense of smell and I got the image of tree bark in my head, so I started doing some research. You may know that Aspirin was created from White Willow bark. The bark itself is powerful anti-inflammatory and analgesic it also has been shown to have antioxidant, fever reducing, antiseptic and immune boosting properties.
Wild Cherry Bark is also pretty amazing. All barks seem to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is helpful for coughs (you can make cough syrup and drops with it), heart and digestion issues as well.
Magnolia bark it is anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-allergic too. It helps with stress, anxiety and depression. Studies show a compound in magnolia bark triggers the death of human cancer cells in several different types of cancer!
Pau D’Arco is another wonderful bark I’ve been using. It has been used for 1000’s of years for cold and viruses. Also anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and is great for Candida overgrowth.
I have been making a tea using all these barks plus rose hips, elder berries, lemon balm, nettles, chamomile and peppermint. I do think using barks has been helping my sense of smell and all the other benefits seem prefect to help support wellness.
