Can you believe it’s Fall already?! Time is so weird this year. Everything is so different this year but healing is a good way to spend your time. I keep seeing “hurt people hurt people, healed people heal people”, so let’s get to healing huh!?
One of my favorite books for self care is Staying Healthy with the Seasons by Elson Haas. It is from a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) point of view and is truly a great reference for navigating the change of season. According to TCM we’re moving into the Metal element which is related to Air and is controlled the Lungs and Large Intestines. This is why people may experience Lung issues if their health isn’t balanced in the fall. With everything that is going on it’s more important than ever to take care of yourself during this transition from light to dark. To help keep in-balance this Fall meditate, do a little cleanse, take quiet walks, eat more garlic, find inspiration, let go of what you don’t need and rest more. Here’s some info about Herbs for the equinox. If you’d like anymore tips and tricks please feel free to call or message.
I recently started an apprenticeship with a Swedish Root Doctor, Johannes Björn Gårdbäck to learn more about practices from my Scandinavian lineage. I am also brushing up on my Shiatsu with 2 classes this next month to review meridians and also learn about an Extraordinary Meridian with a teacher in Uruguay! One of the benefits of this pandemic is being able to study with teachers all over the world.
I have time tomorrow Thursday 9/24 to fit you in or 12 pm on Friday 9/25 and a few appointments next week still open too. I’d love to see you & your friends! Reminder, I will give you $20 off your next session for each referral!
